Villa Amsterdam

This small villa, incorporates two very distinct types of facades. The two back facades which are oriented towards the neighbors, are quite closed to create more privacy. In contrast, the two front facades that face the canal and the street, are very transparent, providing an optimum view of the park beside the canal. The huge glass doors that make up a large part of the front facade can be completely folded away, allowing to really incorporate the terrace into the main living room. The construction of these doors was custom-designed for this villa. The subterranean level is a garage, connected to the upper floors through a large, partially glass-separated vide. This allows the owner to enjoy his collection of classical cars also when relaxing in the living room.
